Yana and Andrew flew in from Austria to get married in Montenegro, at Talici Hill villa above Sutomore. It was the summer of 2025 and the weather was glorious. The ceremony arch stood among the olive trees, and the rest of the day brought a champagne tower, a saxophone and dancing that ran late.
Yana and Andrew’s summer wedding at Talici Hill villa
Talici Hill sits above Sutomore, a little back from the sea. It is an old stone villa with large grounds, olive trees and cypresses, and a view of the water. Yana and Andrew came here from Austria and married in the summer of 2025.
Getting ready with her bridesmaids, mother and grandmother
Yana spent the morning with the people closest to her. Her bridesmaids were around her, and her mother and grandmother helped her into the dress. Andrew was getting ready with his friends at the same time, and their side of the morning was loud and cheerful.
Ice cream for the guests in the heat
It was a hot summer day, and the reception area had a stand serving ice cream. In heat like that, with the ceremony still ahead, it was the best thing anyone could have handed the guests, and they loved it.
The ceremony in the olive grove
The arch stood among the olive trees, and the whole ceremony area was dressed with fresh flowers. Yana and Andrew read their vows to each other, and that was the most moving moment of the day: both of them cried, and so did the guests. During the first kiss they set off colored cold-spark fountains, which made an enormous impression on the guests.
Yana and Andrew read their vows in a way that had everyone around them in tears. Then, on the first kiss, the colored sparks went off and the guests were absolutely thrilled.

The champagne tower and the saxophone
Right after the ceremony, to upbeat music, Yana and Andrew filled a tower of glasses with champagne. It was the two of them who then handed the glasses to the guests. The live music for the day was a saxophone, played outdoors on the villa grounds.
Dinner, the cake and the first dance
Dinner came with toasts and congratulations, and the table deserves a mention of its own, because the decor was beautifully done. Yana and Andrew finished the cake themselves: they laid fresh berries on top and dusted it with powdered sugar. After that came the first dance, sparklers, and a party that had no intention of ending.
If you are planning something similar in an olive grove, start with my guide to a Talici Hill wedding, which covers the grounds, where the ceremony and dinner areas sit, and how the day is usually built. Honestly, a day like this is very hard to pull off well on your own: the villa rental, the menu, the documents, the decor and the timing all need someone holding them together, so a wedding planner here is closer to a necessity than a luxury, and we can recommend one we trust. We cover the photography and video ourselves. I, Mariia Sosnina, work as a wedding photographer in Montenegro, and Vasilii Khmelev shoots the wedding video. Write to us and we will tell you how a day like this runs with us, and which dates are still free.
