What Bocasa is

Bocasa is a restaurant and beach club on the shore of the Bay of Kotor. During the day it runs as a beach club: the sea, sun loungers and shaded lounge spots by the water, an easy place to relax. In the evening it turns intimate and romantic, with live guitar, fresh fish and a view over the bay. The cuisine is Mediterranean, with a focus on fresh seafood and fish.

Bocasa belongs to the Casa del Mare group, along with several boutique hotels and a second restaurant on the shore, Limoneto. For a wedding that is handy: the venue, the kitchen and the rooms are all in one place by the water.

How the wedding day unfolds

The ceremony here takes place on the pier by the water. You stand almost above the bay, with the mountains and the sea all around you. It is an intimate and beautiful setting.

After the ceremony everything continues on the Bocasa terrace: an aperitif reception, dinner and the party right by the water. Everything is just steps away, so your guests never have to move on to another place.

Where to stay: Casa del Mare across the road

A big plus of Bocasa is that you can stay right across the way, at the Casa del Mare boutique hotel. The hotel is intimate and very good, and the restaurant is literally across the road. That is easy on you and on your guests: no need to arrange a transfer late at night, and the morning after the wedding starts slowly, by the sea.

How we photograph a wedding at Bocasa

If you are planning a wedding at Bocasa, we are here to help with the photography. There is one important local light nuance: because of the mountains the sun sets early behind them, so the ceremony is usually set two or three hours before sunset. The exact timing depends on the day's program (group photos, the couple's portraits, the dinner service and the number of courses), and it is normally arranged by the wedding planner.

We photograph the reception and the party on the terrace in a lively, gentle way, catching the real emotions, and we add the views by the water with drone shots. You can see our work in our wedding photography portfolio, and if you are still choosing a place, take a look at our guide to wedding venues in Montenegro.
