If you are looking for a waterfront wedding venue in Montenegro, take a close look at Limoneto. It is a restaurant with a terrace on the shore of the Bay of Kotor in Kamenari, part of the Casa del Mare group and right next to the restaurant Bocasa. We photograph weddings all over Montenegro, so let us walk you through how a day here comes together.
Limoneto at a glance
- A restaurant with a terrace on the shore of the bay, in Kamenari, part of the Casa del Mare group.
- Ceremony on the pier by the water, reception and dinner on the terrace by the shore (not on the beach).
- The terrace can seat round tables and works well for larger groups too.
- Guests stay at the boutique Casa del Mare hotel right across the road.
What Limoneto is
Limoneto is a restaurant on the shore of the Bay of Kotor in Kamenari. The kitchen is Mediterranean, built around fresh seafood and fish, and the mood is calm and romantic, with the water right in front of you.
Limoneto belongs to the Casa del Mare group, alongside its boutique hotels and a second waterfront restaurant, Bocasa. For a wedding that is genuinely handy: the venue, the kitchen and the accommodation all sit in one spot by the water.

How the wedding day flows
The ceremony takes place on the pier by the water, so you stand almost over the bay, with the mountains and the sea all around you. It is an intimate, beautiful setup.
After the ceremony everything carries on right there on the Limoneto terrace by the shore: the reception with aperitifs, dinner and the party, all at the water's edge. Everything is a few steps apart, so your guests never have to move anywhere.
A sample timeline for the wedding day
Every day is its own, and your wedding planner sets the exact schedule, but here is a rough timeline to give you a feel for it.
- Photos and video of the details: rings, dress, accessories, invitations.
- The groom getting ready with his friends.
- The bride getting ready with her bridesmaids.
- The bride puts on her dress. Bridal portraits in the dress before the ceremony, while the makeup is still fresh. Optional: a first look with the bridesmaids or with dad.
- Welcome drinks, the groom greets the guests.
- Just before the ceremony everyone takes their seats.
- The groom waits for the bride at the arch, the bridesmaids and flower girls walk in (optional).
- 16:00 to 16:30, the ceremony on the pier: the vows, the ring exchange, the first kiss.
- The newlyweds walk back from the arch through petals or confetti and the applause of the guests. A second kiss at the end of the aisle makes for a lovely shot.
- Congratulations and group photos. It helps to plan the group shot list in advance and hand it to the best man or a close friend of the bride, whoever knows the guests best.
After the ceremony: the photo session and the evening
- Guests stay for cocktails while the newlyweds head off for their photo session. The ideal option is to take a boat and cruise over to Perast and the islands, capture some shots on the water and from the drone, and if there is energy and time left, a few photos in Perast.
- The couple comes back to the hotel, takes a short break to freshen up, and then makes a grand entrance to great music once the guests are already at their tables.
- Toasts and speeches. These often go before dinner or between the courses, but for the kitchen it works better to keep them before dinner and not drag them out, so the courses can then be served smoothly.
- After the final course: the cake cutting and the first dance.
- The first dance usually opens the party and the real dancing.
- Fireworks at the end of the evening add even more emotion.
Seating and capacity
The Limoneto terrace can hold round tables, not just one long table, and it fits fairly large groups. Check the exact capacity for your format and guest count with the venue.
Where to stay: Casa del Mare across the road
The easy choice is to stay right opposite, at the boutique Casa del Mare hotel. The hotel is small and really lovely, and the restaurant is literally across the road. That is handy for you and for your guests: no scrambling for a late-night transfer, and the morning after the wedding starts slowly, by the sea.

Where it is and how to get there
Limoneto sits in Kamenari, on the shore of the Bay of Kotor, in the Herceg Novi municipality, right by the Kamenari to Lepetane ferry crossing. It is easy to reach from the Kotor and Tivat side, from the Herceg Novi side, and Tivat airport is very close. 📍 Limoneto on the map
How we photograph a wedding at Limoneto
If you are planning a wedding at Limoneto, we are here to help with the photography. There is one important local quirk with the light: because of the mountains the sun goes down early, so the ceremony is usually set two or three hours before sunset. The exact timing depends on the day's program (group shots, the couple's session, the dinner service and the number of courses per set) and it is usually your wedding planner who confirms it.
We photograph the reception and the party on the terrace in a lively, gentle way, catching the real emotions, and we round out the waterfront views with drone shots. You can see our work in the wedding photography portfolio, and if you are still choosing a place, have a look at our guide to wedding venues in Montenegro.
