Not a music video: what goes into our film

A lot of wedding videos look like music videos: pretty shots over one song and not a single real word. We put our film together differently, as the story of your day, where you can hear people and see what actually happened. It shows not only how beautiful Montenegro is, but the two of you: your love and your relationship, your friends and parents, everything that truly matters to you. Here’s what goes into it:

• Live sound. Your vows are heard in your own voices, not buried under music.
• Chatter and laughter. Friends’ jokes, guests whispering, laughter around the table: all the little things that make up the feel of a celebration.
• Small moments. Nerves before the ceremony, glances, hugs, guests on the dance floor: we film whatever happens naturally, with nothing staged.
• Music for your story. We choose it for each couple, and it plays alongside the real voices, not instead of them.

How it works: from your first message to the finished film

Before the wedding

It all starts with your message or a request through the website. We talk through the date, the venue and the plan of the day, and we line up the video schedule with the photo schedule right away, so you end up with one shared timeline.

On the wedding day

Vasilii films everything as it really happens, and we record sound. We stay close but out of the way, so you and your guests can simply enjoy the day and forget about the camera. That’s how real conversations and emotions end up in the film, instead of lines said for the camera.

Drone shots are our gift to you. The aerial footage shows where your day took place, while the story itself is told by the real moments we film up close.

After the wedding

Once the celebration is over, the editing begins. Here’s how it goes:

1. We go back through everything we filmed and recorded that day and pick out the best moments: words, laughter, glances.
2. We shape them into the story of your day, do the color grading and choose music that never drowns out the real voices.
3. Two months later you get a link and watch your finished film online.
4. You share the link with family and friends, including anyone who couldn’t make it to your wedding in Montenegro.

How to choose a wedding videographer in Montenegro

There are plenty of videographers in Montenegro, and short social media clips make them hard to compare. Here’s what we suggest looking at before you book a date:

• Full films, not just highlights. A minute of pretty shots over a song won’t tell you whether someone can tell the story of your day.
• Live sound. Ask whether the film will include real voices, your vows for example. Without them, even beautiful footage is just a music video.
• Couples’ reviews. Notice whether couples write about how they felt during filming, not only about the result.
• What’s included. Check the film length, the delivery time, and whether editing, color grading, music and drone shots are part of it.
• Working with the photographer. Ask how the videographer coordinates with the photographer so the two don’t get in each other’s way on the day.
